Menu Template For Thanksgiving can be a lifesaver when you're planning your holiday feast. I’ve found that creating a detailed menu template ensures no dish is forgotten and everyone's dietary needs are met. Last year, I struggled with last-minute decisions and ended up with a menu that lacked variety and balance. This year, I decided to create a comprehensive menu template that made the process much smoother.
Why Use a Menu Template?
Planning a Thanksgiving menu can be overwhelming, especially when you’re juggling multiple dishes, sides, and desserts. A menu template helps you organize everything in one place, making it easier to see what you have and what you need to add. It also ensures that you cover all bases, including vegetarian options and any dietary restrictions.
Creating Your Thanksgiving Menu Template
Here’s how I created my menu template:
- Main Course: Turkey (roast or smoked), a traditional centerpiece for any Thanksgiving table. I chose a 12-pound turkey to serve a group of 10.
- Sides: Mashed potatoes, green beans, and sweet potato casserole. These are classics that everyone loves. I also included some unique options like roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon and honey and cranberry walnut stuffing.
- Desserts: Pumpkin pie, apple pie, and chocolate trifle. Desserts are always a hit, so I wanted to offer a few choices to accommodate different preferences.
- Vegetarian Options: I included a quinoa salad and a stuffed acorn squash to cater to those who don’t eat meat.
- Drinks: Offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, and a selection of sodas and juices.
I then printed out the menu template and placed it on the dining table so everyone could see the plan and contribute ideas
